The $2,000 Swap

They bill you. We pay you.

Every year you stay, you lose twice: the annual fees you pay, and the $2,000 a qualifying Swipe Savvy merchant gets back on every anniversary. Put in your numbers and see what waiting costs you. Sign by March 31, 2027 to qualify.

Add every once-a-year line: annual program, service or maintenance, regulatory or compliance fees. Your August statement is a good place to look. Some Shift4 merchants are now billed up to $2,000 a year in a single annual fee.

This compares once-a-year fees with the rebate only. It is not a quote and says nothing about processing rates; see the effective-rate calculator for that. The rebate is for merchants processing $40,000+ a month on Savvy Pro or Savvy Elite, who sign by March 31, 2027. Not all merchants qualify. Eligibility and terms apply.

Common questions

Who qualifies for the $2,000 rebate?

New merchants only. Each location processing $40,000 or more a month in major credit card volume on a Savvy Pro or Savvy Elite plan, for merchants who sign up by March 31, 2027. The rebate is $2,000 per qualifying location per year, for up to 5 years. Other conditions apply, so not all merchants qualify. The full terms are on the rebate terms page.

When is the rebate paid?

Once a year, by ACH, by the 15th of the month after each 12 months of processing, for every year the location qualifies, up to 5 years.

What counts as an annual fee?

Any fee billed once a year: annual program fees, annual service or maintenance fees, and annual regulatory or compliance fees. Some processors bill them in August, so check that statement. Some Shift4 merchants are now billed up to $2,000 a year in a single annual fee.

Does this compare processing rates?

No. It compares once-a-year fees with the rebate only. Use the effective-rate calculator to compare what you pay to process cards.
